Pictures from New Years

As I was going through my pictures so I could post some shots from my surprise birthday party (see post below) I found some pictures from New Years that I never posted. Quick recap, we went to Destin, FL with a bunch of our best friends for New Years this year. It was one of the most fun times in my life. I love these people like they are my family because really, we are kind of like a funny, dysfunctional family, haha. Here are some pictures, mainly of just Clay and I.
Clay and I on the beach after we ate lunch on the day we left. So beautiful, but so cold. (Pictures taken by Courtney and Ben Henson!)

Me and sweet Riley Andino, my niece dog. I was a little sick after dinner and she was making me feel better!

Me and Clay at Louisiana Lagniappe for dinner.... Not so good.....

Rock Band.... The theme for the weekend!

Clay and I on New Years Eve (we didn't get to the beach until 11:00 pm on New Years.)

Okay, okay.... Here is my updates!

I am VERY sorry about the lack of posts, especially after that teaser. Things didn't go the way we planned and I just really didn't feel like posting about it for awhile. BUTTT.... here is what was going on. As many of you know, our house in on the market and we are in the process of looking for another house that is bigger and closer to friends and family. After a week and a half on the market, someone put an offer on our house and after some negotiations, we accepted their offer. In a race for time, we went ahead and made an offer on another house that we thought we loved. Wellllllll.... everyone said that this was too good to be true, and they were right. The people who had put an offer on our house had TERRIBLE credit and were not able to obtain financing (yes, they told us they were pre-qualified... liars.) Once that feel through, our offer basically fell through (it was actually a lot more complicated than that, but I don't want to get into that, haha.) So, we were back to square one. At this moment, we have had some more interest in our house and are having an open house today (Sunday.) We actually fell in love with another house, but found out last night that someone else put an offer on it. UHHH the joys of buying/selling a home. This truly is one of the most stressful things we have gone through, and I can't wait for it to be over. Just to throw this out there, we have officially looked at over 60 homes so far. It is NOT as fun as you may think it is.

In the midst of all of this stress, my sweet husband has shined through and won the best husband in the world award!!!! My birthday is next Sunday, March 7th, and he really wanted to make it special this year. Boy, did he make it so special!! On Friday night, we had dinner plans at 7:30 to go to dinner with some of our good friends, Maribeth and Manny, at Dave's Pizza in Homewood. In reality, Clayton had planned a SURPRISE PARTY for me!! I had absolutely no idea what was going on. When we walked into the restaurant and I saw everyone, I stood dumbfounded, looked at Clay, and asked "what is going on???" Obviously, I was shocked!

20 of my best friends were there to make my night incredible. We ate dinner, then went to a good friend's, Blake Hensons, house. Finally, we ended the night at Rogue Tavern. It was one of the best nights of my life!!! Clayton is the best husband in the world and was definitely rewarded for his hard efforts, haha!! Here are some pictures of the night. None are really that great, but thought I would show everyone that was there!
